| | Automotive Series I had a fascination with cars from a lost era. Today almost all
automobiles look the same. They have lost their individuality and their
self expression. The time period of the early 60's and 70's allowed cars
to have their own character even if they were not the top of the line models.
They had style. That is what is lost in our society today. Everyone looks at
the exotic. To me cars have always been moving sculptures. They are part of our
daily life now more than ever. The car is perhaps the single object that portrays
our ego to the outside world. It tells a great deal to others about ourselves,
whether it be bold, timid, or merely trying to become invisible or not make any
statement at all. Cars have a way of speaking. For this reason alone, I wanted to
use the vehicle as a way of speaking to people. I wanted to make individual
statements with each car. There is a definite mood and desire. I continue to
have this love affair with cars as their lines continue to expound beauty. It
continues to prove that aesthetics always makes people feel good about themselves
      and the world.   Copyright information | | | |
