Works 1980 - 1985

In 1980, I bought a personal computer with the goal of making artworks. It wasn't immediately clear how I could achieve that goal. There was very little software available, so I began writing my own software. Programming became an exciting process in itself, one that had much in common with my interests as a painter. I rapidly hit on the methodology that I use to the present day: mapping pixels onto surfaces. To solve the problem of creating a physical work of art, I purchased a small pen plotter and began making drawings on paper.
