After years of discussion about the future status of the Digital Art Museum [DAM] as an online-museum, it was decided, that it will remain in the realm of a private initiative, privately funded by the DAM Projects Gmbh and sponsors. Our main sponsor right now is Haupt Pharma AG, with their Headquarter in Berlin, Germany. DAM Projects GmbH runs as well the gallery [DAM]Berlin and the d.velop digital art award[ddaa], as you might know.
We started last year to prepare for the relaunch of a fully redesigned website of the online-museum to enable a continous development of the content. This is now in its final stage and the new site will go online in April 2009. We are still counting on your support to be able to build this project to where it's supposed to be: the online resource for the understanding of the history and different aspects of Digital Art.
