Prostor/Spatial Metaphors/Diagonal White 1969-1975

The Prostor series (1969-1970) implement a more balanced interplay between the deterministic and random parts, and aim to avoid the tile-effect so

common in compositions based on a rectangular grid.

Spatial Metaphors, (1972-1973) follows approximately the same compositional principles established in Prostor with the addition of curvilinear elements.

The

new developments in Diagonal White (1973-1975) regard the implementation of compositional strategies, the autonomous generation of modules, and the introduction of color.
